Careers

A career at an ambitious independent law firm – for lawyers drawn to complexity.

Email usresume@option.legal

We support transactions from structuring through to closing, represent clients in disputes from building the position to enforcement of the judgment, and advise on matters where legal and commercial logic are inseparable.

Our matters span eleven practice areas, from transactions and corporate law to litigation, business criminal defence and Russia–China matters. What they share is a level of complexity and a result that matters to the client. We run such matters to the standard international clients expect.

Who it is for

Early careers

For senior students, graduates and junior lawyers. Internships and work placements run on the firm’s real matters, as part of the team.

A permanent position may be offered at the end. Prior experience is not required: what matters more is the way you think and a readiness to take on complex tasks.

Experienced lawyers

For practising lawyers ready to join the team and work with partners directly. Work is allocated by competence; independent work begins with the first matters.

Partners & counsel

We are open to working with partners and counsel who have their own practice. If you are considering developing a practice area together, we are ready to discuss a partnership on terms that reflect your contribution.

Enquiries can be sent to info@option.legal.

How we work

Every member of the team is involved in the substance of the matter.

Work is predominantly remote. We meet in person – with clients and within the team – when the matter calls for it. We judge work by its result.

What we expect

Lawyers focused on results. People who care about the quality of their own work: the wording, the reasoning, the final document.

We expect a high standard of professional conduct, attention to detail and a readiness to understand the context of a matter, both legal and commercial.

Ethics

Professional culture underpins our work both within the team and with clients. We uphold equality and respect for people regardless of background, gender, age, language or beliefs.

We expect respect for colleagues, honesty and ownership of the result.

The firm’s reputation is a collective asset.
