01 / Overview
Two working formats

Retainer support is structured differently for a company with its own structure in Russia and for one without.

A Russian company with Chinese participation, or an accredited branch or representative office, receives support with contracts, participants' resolutions, matters relating to staff and the head of the company, dealings with banks and state authorities, as well as a compliance calendar. This format suits companies with regular operations that need solutions in the normal course of business.

A Chinese company working with Russian counterparties directly or through partners receives support with contracts and documents with partners, payments and product requirements, checks on Russian counterparties and a position in the event of disagreements. This format is also used in preparation for setting up a company or branch in Russia.

How the work is organized

  • PartnerThe work is led by the partner in charge of the practice area; requests go to the partner directly, and specialist questions are passed to lawyers in the relevant practices while the single point of contact is retained.
  • Two languagesCorrespondence, opinions and documents are prepared in two languages; for documents used in Russia, the prevailing version is specified.
  • Channels and response timeRequests are accepted by email, via Telegram and by phone, with a reply on average within 24 hours. For urgent questions on payments, deadlines and requests from authorities, an expedited response procedure is agreed at the start of the engagement.
  • Time differenceWorking hours are Monday to Friday, Moscow time. Hours are agreed within which a request received in the morning, China time, is answered on the same day.
  • Reports for the head officeAt an agreed frequency: work performed, current matters and upcoming deadlines, in a form suitable for the head office's reporting.
